Mutate your space into the ultimate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle birthday party your little turtle will love! Create easy and affordable do-it-yourself decorations and a shopping list that will make the kids yell, “cowabunga dude”! See below for DIY project ideas.
With do-it-yourself project ideas and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party supply list, it’s time to decorate! It’s always a safer and easier idea to decorate from the ceiling down so you do not have to reach over areas already decorated. Start with hanging the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Lanterns from the ceiling. You can hang them together by using different lengths of string so they’re all visible or spread them out around the party area. If your kid loves hanging around with Ninja Turtles, then add turtle swirls around your lanterns for an extra pop. Don’t forget to hang the Happy Birthday banner above your table or if you want to elaborate on your happy birthday banner, try a TMNT wall banner that is eye catching – it will really set the scene!
It’s time to move on down to the table! Use a table cover of your choice to cover the table, this allows for easy cleanup. Sprinkle some knockout turtle confetti on the table to give it a little shine. Depending upon the size of your table, or if you have several tables, use a TMNT table decorating kit to give the table(s) depth. Make sure you save a spot for the Ninja Turtle’s cake! Place Ninja Turtle plates, napkins, and forks beside the cake for easy serving, and have your Ninja Turtle drinking cups set up ready to serve with your beverage of choice. Add a little kick to your beverage cups with ninja straws! Once your main area is decorated with the essentials, place your TMNT balloons in different spots around the room. Make sure you have balloon weights to hold down the balloons. Try adding extra balloons to your DIY turtle balloons to make them turtle bouquets.
Loot Your Table
Use your DIY Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Goodie Bags, or if you do not DIY, you can purchase TMNT loot bags or favor buckets. Fill them full of TMNT accessories such as mini surf boards, turtle foam stars, turtle blowouts, Ninja Turtles stickers, Ninja Turtle tattoos, disc shooters, turtle glasses, and wrist bands.
Pin the Pizza
Instead of having a Ninja Turtle piñata full of candy this year, change it up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game! Have an empty wall available to hang the game. It is similar to pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, but more challenging; put the pizza in Michelangelo’s mouth! The game comes with a blind fold for the little turtles to wear. For fun, have official TMNT Michelangelo Nun chuck’s as a prize!
Before the party starts, pin the birthday boy or girl with a banging TMNT Birthday ribbon. And, as your little turtle’s party guests arrive, give them Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Mask so they can transform into mini mutants!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lanterns
Black and White Paper
Optional: Googly Eyes
You simply cut your crepe streamers long enough to wrap around the green lanterns and to leave extra for the tie in the back. Before you tie your crepe streamer on, glue your eyes down – you can either use googly eyes or make your own eyes out of black and white cardstock. Once your eyes are dried, simply tie your crepe streamers around the lantern.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Goodie Bags
Black and White Cardstock
Optional: Googly Eyes
Measure out your crepe streamers so they are long enough to wrap around the green bags. Add glue to all sides of the bag where the crepe streamers will be placed. After you have glued down your crepe streamers, glue your eyes down.
Fill green balloons with helium. Be sure to add hi-float to the balloons to make them last longer!
Next cut strips of purple, orange, red, and blue crepe paper streamers to tie around the balloons as the turtles masks.
Before tying the streamers mask onto the balloon cut the eye holes.
The balloon ninjas are the perfect addition to your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party.
The draft is here! It’s time to make a list of all your son’s friends to invite to the party! To change things up, instead of using one type of basketball invitation, use two. Use draft invitations for players and then use basketball fan invitations for the fans. What’s a basketball game without fans?
Decorate your boy’s birthday party with basketball party decorations that will blow everyone away! Set the scene with a basketball scene setter! Before you get the table set up, make sure you hang your swirls and danglers. To give the ceiling decorations a little more character, tie string to a few inflatable basketballs and hang. Place cutouts on the wall to give the walls a pop! Prep your table with a table cover, to make for an easy cleanup from any spills and all the confetti sprinkled on the cover. Don’t forget to add your basketball party plates, cups, and napkins to your table. Make sure your guests don’t pass up the party, hang basketball balloons from your mailbox. When your little guests arrive, top them off with party hats!
The buzzer sounds, and it’s halftime! Create a concession stand your guests are going to enjoy! Have a wide variety of concessions for your guests to choose from. Offer hot dogs, hamburgers, or little pizza bits to go with the cheese puffs that resemble basketballs. Don’t forget your basketball trays and bowls for your fans!
For a tasty dessert, have cupcakes and a cake that are basketball themed. If you choose to do cupcakes, get little cupcake toppers for your guests cupcakes and pick candles for the birthday boy’s cupcake. If you choose to make a cake, make it a jersey cake! You can find a quick and easy jersey cake recipe at http://www.recipe.com/all-star-sports-cake/.
Have several basketball themed birthday party games planned for the party because you never know if a game will last as long as you planned. Some game ideas could be a short basketball game or a shooting game such as pig or horse. Another game could be Bend and Twist. This is just like Twister but is Basketball style! And, what’s a party without a piñata full of candy. Don’t forget little bags for them to gather their candy in.

Planning a little boy’s birthday party can be fun, especially when it is a Super Hero party! Captain America, known for his patriotic gear, super human strength, and flying abilities, will make any little boys party a BASH!
Decorate your house in patriotic colors! Use a wreath hanger or ribbon to hang Captain America’s shield on the door to the main entrance. If you prefer to keep it simple or to just add to the door décor, hang balloons from your mailbox that are patriotic to go with the theme.
Explode the American colors throughout your home! Hang a banner, as well as coordinating streamers and swirls from the ceiling. Have Captain America party plates, cups, and napkins for all your tasty treats!
Go the extra mile by having an adult dress up in the famous superhero costume. This will brighten up your little one’s day, and make him the “cool” kid! If your little one wants to be like Captain America purchase him a look-alike costume and shield for his big day!
Celebrate the big day with cupcakes or a cake. Add a “punch” to the party with a patriotic punch!
