People Still Spending for New Year’s Eve

Did Christmas put a dent in your wallet? Well, the holidays continue with New Year’s celebrations this weekend, and people are still willing to spend a little for a good time.

Tina Chatham, the manager of Card and Party Factory in College Station, said they have seen a slight cut back in business this year. However, when it comes to New Year’s, people want to have a good time and are spending their money on an assortment of decorations.

Chatham also said people are preparing for New Year’s in a more timely manner.

Since the holiday falls on a Sunday, Chatham thinks more people may go out of town to celebrate, but said business is staying steady.
